Eagle Pass Helicopter Skiing is a recent tenure which lies in the heart of the best helicopter skiing country in Canada, the Monashee Mountains. Our tenure is bordered by two of Canada’s largest helicopter skiing companies Canadian Mountain Holidays and Selkirk Tangiers Helicopter Skiing and is just south of Mike Wigele Helicopter Skiing’s southern boundary. The Eagle Pass Heli Skiing exclusive area encompasses over 270,000 acres of British Columbia widerness.
This area of the Monashees is known for deep snow. The west slope of the Monashees is the first mountainous area east of BC’s Coast Mountains. Because of this we get near coastal amounts of snow with cooler interior temperatures resulting in deep dry powder that heli skiers strive for.
This high quality snow, coupled with perfectly spaced trees, open bowls and glaciers results in what many experienced skiers consider to be the best deep powder helicopter skiing in the world.
At Eagle Pass Helicopter Skiing we have many classic tree runs very close to the lodge. This fantastic close skiing is a great advantage during periods of heavy snowfall. This advantage leads to very few operational 'down days' during our heliskiing season. During the 2008 operational heli ski season, Eagle Pass Helskiing only had 3 'down days'.
Ruggeed. Isolated. Glaciated. Spectacular.
A heli skiing paradise.
